Giveaway! Win 2 Sets of Silicone Chocolate Molds!

Win 2 sets of silicone chocolate molds! Great for making your own chocolates, coconut oil/butter bites, or gelatin snacks!

One of my favorite unique kitchen tools is our set of silicone chocolate molds. We use them to make homemade chocolates, various coconut oil delights, and high-protein gelatin snacks, plus a ton of other great recipes that you can find in my e-book. If you’re interested in making your own coconut oil treats and/or homemade gelatin gummies, these are a fantastic tool to own. I recently decided I needed to diversify my silicone mold collection, so I purchased this set of stars, shells, and heart molds. They’re great! The mint chocolates I made in them came out just as good as always.

What We’ve Been Up to the Last 1.5 Years

Hello! It’s been a long time. I really miss blogging, so I’m making a real effort to get back into it.

A lot’s happened in the last 18 months. Jesse graduated from his PhD program! We moved to California! Keira turned 2! We cooked lots of delicious food and created new recipes! I continued to struggle with health issues! (Okay, that last one’s not so fun.) Let me share the highlights with you.

Family Update: May 2014

Meghan and Keira Now that I’ve finished my coconut e-book, I want to try to get back to blogging regularly again. Since I haven’t written much since last summer, I thought I’d give you a glimpse into how things are going in our home life.

Keira will be nine months old on May 14th. I kind of can’t believe that she’s that old–but simultaneously can’t believe that she’s not older! (Those first four months seemed to last for soooooo long.) 🙂 She’s generally a happy baby, although evenings in particular have been challenging for the last few weeks. She loves hanging out outside, riding on Jesse’s shoulders, visiting any public place where she gets to look at people, and chewing on anything and everything.…

Update from Life in Babyland

Family photo Nov 2013Hello! It has been such a long time since I have been able to blog, but never fear, we are all still alive here. Keira turned three months old last week, and for the most part it feels like we may be falling into some sort of routine that isn’t just all-baby-all-the-time, particularly since she’s now generally amenable to me doing things like eating/showering/laundry/dishes when she’s awake as long as she can see/hear me. So theoretically I may get to start spending her (five tiny) naps doing something other than eating/shower/laundry/dishes. 🙂

(Of course, now that I’ve written that I’m sure we’ll once again be hit by a week of extremely fussy, non-napping baby, which seems to happen every time I start to feel like things are going well.)Keira in Ergo

(Side note: As I wrote the above, Keira decided to turn what is normally a 40 minute nap into a 20 minute nap.…
