Honey Face Wash

Are you looking for a safe and natural face wash that’s good for your skin and isn’t ridiculously expensive? You should try my honey face wash. I’ve been washing my face with honey for more than three years now, and I LOVE it. It’s easy, inexpensive, and totally natural.

Garden Update: June 4, 2013

Garden Update June 4 2013

We spent last weekend planting our container garden plus a few more plants in our raised bed garden, so I thought it was time for another garden update. In that picture above you can see our container garden, which resides out on our apartment balcony. Even though we have two raised beds in the community garden this year, we still opted to do a container garden because we had such success with it last year. Things I Loved in May

Things I loved in MayMay has been a pretty great month. Here’s what’s been making me happy at home this month:

Experimenting with some recipes for my upcoming e-book. Pineapple coconut ice cream is a definite winner!

Picking up our first local pastured chicken and local organic veggies of the season. The chicken, in particular has been a very welcome change. It tastes so much better than the organic chicken I had been buying at the health food store.

Starting our Hypnobabies class, in preparation for having our first baby at the end of August.…

Real Food and Green Living Items at Costco

Real Food & Natural Living Items at CostcoI haven’t written about Costco for a while, so I thought it was time for another post on what I like to buy at Costco. Although 95% of the food items at Costco are things that I would never buy, they do have a big enough selection of high-quality gems to make it worth my time and money to be a Costco member.

Why Costco?

I am a big proponent of local food. I’ve love to buy most of our food locally, but that’s just not realistic or practical for us right now. Finding great deals on quality food at Costco allows me to put more money into those things that I really, really value, like raw milk, local grass-fed beef, local pastured chicken and pork, pastured eggs, and organic CSA produce (in the summer and early fall).…
